Next Concert

Concert Triumph Wild applause, whoops and even a number of audience members rising from their seats greeted the finale of Mahler's Symphony No.1, 'The Titan', on Saturday 22nd November 2025, at the Orchestra's first concert of the 25/26 season. The Symphony was the closing work of the evening which had also featured Verdi's driving Force of Destiny overture, Mahler's lyrical Blumine and Vaughan Williams' evocative Fantasia on a theme by Thomas Tallis. A memorable night.

Coming up next... Why not join NSO on Saturday 7th March 2026 for the Orchestra's next concert. Opening the evening is Grace Williams' Penillion, a four movement orchestral suite written in 1955. Williams is generally regarded as Wales' most notable female composer and was the first British woman to orchestrate a feature film. The two other works in the programme are Brahms ever-popular Violin Concerto, played by Gina McCormck (pictured) and Prokofiev's mighty 5th Symphony. Tickets: general admission £18; concessions (60+) £15; under 18 years and students £6. Discounts for families and groups of 4 or more. Available by phone (07733 312322), by email (tickets@nottinghamsymphony.org.uk), and online via TicketSource.
